1. Can I get a customized template design?

Yes, sure. We provide a wide variety of templates that determine the email structure, but you can also customize every design with your logo, your pictures, your text (including font type, size and color), and your links. Our designers will work with you closely to create an email template that would match your needs and requirements.

2. How do I add pictures to my email?

Simply go to your online photo gallery (by the way, it’s got unlimited storage!) and upload any images from your computer. Once an image has been uploaded to your gallery, you just need to point and click while the wizard will do the rest. Our Web CMS helps you create email marketing messages easier!

3. How do I insert the text I want in my email?

It’s easy to customize the text for your email marketing messages! All you have to do is to type the content into a big text box, or simply copy and paste it from your word processor. An easy-to-use toolbar allows you to format your text as bold, italics or underlined. Web CMS does help!

4. Can I write my HTML email with Focus Commander?

Yes. In your email marketing messages, if you know HTML language, you can simply use the HTML editor in the Focus Commander system or upload your HTML file onto it.

5. What if I do not know HTML or any technical skills to create an email?

Take it easy! You do not have to know HTML or any skills to run your email marketing campaign. Just follow the on-screen wizard and everything will be done!

6. When will my emails be sent?

It depends on when you want them to be sent. You can choose to deliver the email marketing campaign immediately or to send later with an exact scheduled date and time.

7. Can I preview the email before it is sent out?

Yes, sure. When you are creating your email, you can always click the 'preview' button to view the look of the email and the update of any changes in real-time.

8. Can I receive a test copy of the email before it’s sent to everyone?

Yes. Before you send to everyone, you can select if you want to email yourself a test copy. You will know how it will look like in the inbox.

Mailing List Management

1. Can I hire or buy an email list to use with Focus Commander?

No. Focus Commander can only be used with your own permission-based mailing list. In other words, you must have people's consent to send them email marketing campaign.

2. What if I don’t have an email list?

No problem. We have powerful tools to help you create your own list for sending out your email marketing campaign. You can put ‘Mailing List Signup Box’ or ‘Sign up for Subscription’ on your website allowing the site visitors to easily and automatically enroll to your mailing list. You can also take the opportunity at trade conferences, meetings and sales call to invite people to join your list. Even though you don’t have a large list at the start, we help it grow.

3. How do I upload my list into my Focus Commander account?

Simply follow our easy-to-use instructions to upload your database. If you have a database in Microsoft Excel (or other database programs), you can just save it as a CSV and click 'upload'.

4. Is my email list saved safely in the Focus Commander account?

Once you’ve uploaded the mailing list, it will always remain as your property. Focus will never rent, share or sell your list under our privacy policy. The list is safe behind our secure firewalls and only you will have the access to it with your login and password.

5. Can people automatically unsubscribe from my mailing list?

Yes. The entire process is automated. When someone clicks the 'unsubscribe' option in the footer of your email, they will be automatically blocked from future mailings.

6. Can I include more information for subscribers other than just their email address?

Sure. In your email marketing messages, you can include a variety of information such as their name, living address, and phone number of every subscriber.

Reports & Statistics

1. Can I check back who has opened my email?

Yes, sure. Focus Commander is a trackable email platform. Once someone opens your email, the system automatically records the exact date and time and presents that to you in an online report of your email marketing campaign in real time.

2. Can I know who has clicked a link in my email?

Yes. You will be able to see a break-down of clicks for all the links in your email. You can even get into details to see which person click on which link and the date and time of that happened.

3. Can I trace back who has forwarded my email?

Absolutely! With the "Forward-To-Friend" feature in email marketing message, people who receive the email can forward it to their friends and even with personal message attached. You will be able to know who has forwarded the messages to whom.

4. Can I receive information about all the bounces?

Yes. For each email marketing campaign, you can check back the total number of bounces. Then, you can manage your email list by using our list cleaning feature to remove those addresses from future mailings.

5. How long does it take to update the reports?

The update of email marketing reports can be shown almost instantly and in real-time. The moment your email campaign is sent, you can get the most update reports in the next minute.

6. Are the reports printable?

Yes. Simply click a 'printer-friendly' version of the email marketing report you are viewing, and you will receive a formatted version of the report ready to be printed.

7. Can I export the report into Excel?

Yes. You can choose to 'export' the email marketing report you are viewing to Excel and all other popular database programs for further manipulation.

Email Deliverability

1. How does Focus Commander ensure my emails get delivered?

We maintain relationships with ISPs and blacklist providers around the globe. In order to ensure your email marketing messages reach your audience, we forge a relationship of trust between us and ISPs by sharing our policies and practices with them. The ISPs trust us to screen all outgoing emails and only enable legitimate mailings (permission opt-in mailings) to be sent.

2. Does Focus Commander have spam feedback loops?

Yes, we do have spam feedback loops with all the major ISPs. We also work with new ISPs to help develop feedback loop programs. When someone clicks "This is Spam" on Hotmail for example, a message is sent automatically to our system and the subscriber will be removed from your mailing list.

3. Will the outgoing emails undergo screening for spam?

Yes! We work with high quality clients who send out legitimate email marketing mailings. We screen all outbound emails to avoid any spam matters before they are sent, so to preserve our leading deliverability in the industry. If we find any “spammy” elements in your email marketing campaign, we will alert you immediately to make correction. We aim to help you achieve the maximum result.
